This is my story.

Laura A. Franklin is a woman of Faith. She is a published author, a Certified Chaplain through California Southern Baptist; a dreamer, a mentor, an entrepreneur, a singer, a song-writer, a public speaker, and a visionary. Laura is the youngest of nine children, and the first of her siblings to earn a higher education. She earned two A.A. degrees in Behavioral Science and Humanities. Her Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management degree was earned from University of Phoenix. She is also a Certified Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Counselor , and Caregiver. She is a mother of five; three who are military veterans; the grandmother of three, and a godmother of 11. Laura has been writing since she was 12 years old. You will find her younger years were not without struggles, like most. Laura is a two-time survivor of breast cancer; a warrior who endured significantly challenging circumstances; who strives to achieve her goals, understanding her lot in life is not only to survive, but to overcome. Her faith and courage has been tried and tested on many occasions.

She not only emerged as a strong survivor, but she emerged victorious and is a walking testimony of God’s goodness, grace, and healing power. Her undaunted Faith in God, coupled with her resolve and tenacity, has proven to be powerful lessons for even the most seasoned believer. Laura comes from an extended legacy of men and women who prayed. Her community is filled with encouragement. Today, Laura continues to exemplify unwavering trust and Faith in the Lord despite negative medical diagnosis and prognosis. Her light shines brightly through her own life commitment and dedication to serve and pour into others what she knows to be the absolute truth about God. Hers in an extraordinary journey.
